A fascination with ceramic history and chemistry lead me to an ongoing experimentation with man-made rocks. Ceramic production has much in common with geologic processes, forming solids composed of sediments bonded in extreme heat. The processes of ceramic production can reflect the nature of particle accumulation found in all matter, including the composition of our skin (practically applied to the absorption of skincare products) and architectural surfaces (applied when achieving weatherproofing in surface assemblies).
